School Profile

Pamlico County Primary  School (PCPS)  is a Title 1 school that serves approximately 294 students in pre-kindergarten  through third grade.  We have a mixture of virtual and in person classes due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus.  One hundred percent of our students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch through the Community  Eligibility Provision.  All of our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, mounted projectors , document cameras, laptops, and iPods for student use.   Our instructional technology facilitator and our media coordinator support teachers in using technology to motivate, engage, and empower student learning.  One academic specialist further supports our 30 teachers in planning for and providing differentiated learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students. At PCPS, we believe in every child's potential to learn and grow.  PCPS students are exposed to art, physical education, media and technology and STEM opportunities each week.  Our foremost priority is to instill a love of learning and to support, encourage and ensure our students success.
